Slime Care

Slime Care Kit Included

Every Poppy Mello order comes with a small care kit to help you get started! 🎁

Your kit includes:

  • small spray bottle of pre-made activator to fix sticky slime
  • small jar of softening gel to help revive stiff or over-activated slime

Basic Care

  • Wash your hands before and after playing to keep your slime clean and fresh.
  • Keep your slime in an airtight container after use to prevent drying.
  • Play on clean, non-fuzzy surfaces to avoid getting dirt or hair in your slime.

Sticky Slime

  • Add a few sprays of activator (borax solution) and knead well.
  • If you run out of activator spray, here is how you can make more:

mix 1 teaspoon of borax powder into 1 cup of warm water. Stir until fully dissolved. Store your activator in a sealed container.

Dry or Stiff Slime?

  • Add some of the softening gel and knead well. You can also use unscented lotion for butter/slay/clay slimes, or warm water for clear slimes.

Weather and Temperature Tips

  • If slime arrives sticky (warm weather), place it in the fridge for 10–20 minutes before playing.
  • If slime arrives stiff (cold weather), warm it up in your hands or leave it at room temperature for a bit.

A Few Extra Tips

  • Slime may melt or get sticky over time — this is normal! Reactivate when needed.
  • Slime may fade over time. This is natural for high-quality, non-toxic fragrances.

Important Reminders

  • Do not eat slime! It’s for fun, not food.
  • Keep slime away from hair, carpet, furniture, and clothing to prevent sticking.
  • Avoid leaving slime in direct sunlight or heat to prevent melting.
